How to join Star Citizen if you do not have an account yet

Written for people curious about the game who have never enlisted on robertsspaceindustries.com.

Steps

  1. Create an RSI account on the official site (button below uses a referral code so the referrer may get credit if you later become a recruit under RSI rules).
  2. Download the RSI launcher and install Star Citizen when your account allows.
  3. Watch for Free Fly events if you want to try ships without buying first — dates change; check official news.
  4. If you decide to stay, a game package purchase is what usually unlocks permanent access and may count as a “recruit” for a referral code owner.
